Relaxed National 3 Peaks Mountain Challenge

The Relaxed National 3 Peaks Challenge is undoubtedly one of our most popular charity event. If you are seeking to create a real buzz, while smashing your fundraising targets then this could be the event for you. This highly popular challenge involves trekking to the summit of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon over 3 days. While not to be underestimated, with plenty of training, the National 3 Peaks Challenge is achievable by anyone with a good level of fitness.

Grade: Medium

Start Location: Glasgow Train Station or Starting Point of your choice
Finish Location: Chester Train station or Finishing Point of your choice
Vehicle: Coach (33 Seat Executive Coach) or similar
Guides: Qualified Mountain Leaders (First aid qualified and highly experienced) Accommodation: Basic hostel/bunkhouse accommodation – 3 nights
Food: Breakfast x 3


Day 1

1500 – Meet coach and Sky Blue Adventures Team. Board your vehicle (33 seat executive coach and commence your journey to Scotland (Fort William)

18:00 – Arrive in Fort William and drop bags at hostel

19:00 – Evening Meal in local restaurant

22:00 – Early to bed in preparation for the early start tomorrow

Day 2

06:00 – Early breakfast (Continental)

07:00 – Transfer to Ben Nevis start point

07:30 – Commence Challenge (Ben Nevis)

13:30 – Complete Ben Nevis and board the coach

19:00 – Arrive Keswick accommodation

20:00 – Evening Meal in Local restaurant

Day 3

07:00 – Breakfast

08:00 – Transfer to Seatoller – Scafell Pike start point

08:30 – Commence Climb (Scafell Pike)

14:30 – Complete Scafell Pike and board coach

18:30 – Arrive Llanberis accommodation

19:30 – Evening Meal in Local restaurant

Day 4

07:00 – Breakfast

08:00 – Transfer to Pen Y Pass – Snowdon start point

08:30 – Commence Climb (Snowdon)

14:30 – Complete Snowdon and board coach

16:00 – Challenge ends at Chester Train Station


The timings detailed above may vary due to team fitness levels and traffic

The participants can be split into separate teams according to their ability


  • Team presentation (if required)
  • Logistics (all transport throughout the challenge)
  • 3 nights accommodation (hostel)
  • Continental Breakfast each day
  • Highly experienced mountain leaders (fully qualified and first aid trained)
  • Maximum mountain leader/client ratio of 1 leader / 10 clients
  • Safety equipment (carried by your Mountain Leaders)


As far as possible we will try to keep to the times, however, it is impossible to predict what may happen on our way and difficult weather conditions can have a big impact on our timings.
